Let’s celebrate with this summer smoothie, Pineapple Lime Love. This smoothie is actually my husband’s recipe and his favorite 😁. We love how it’s reminiscent of the beloved piña colada, but with a touch of pow from creamy bananas and an unexpected flavor surprise from the limes. I often end up making a second batch, because we always want seconds.
If you need help digesting your food, this is a good one to load up on. Pineapples contain a healthy amount of bromelain, a digestive enzyme that breaks down proteins—awesome for the gut. They also lessen inflammation and ease stomach discomforts 🍍
Recipe: Pineapple Lime Love
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Good For: Beverage
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 cup frozen banana
- 2 lime wedges
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 heaping tablespoon of creamed coconut
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until creamy and smooth, scraping down sides if necessary.
- Taste and adjust flavor as needed. Add more milk if too thick.
- Freezes well to make into popsicles.
